Laughlin Burial Ground - Round Grove Cemetery


This cemetery on the eastern edge of St. Charles is the burial ground for some of the earliest settlers of eastern Kane and northwestern DuPage counties (John Laughlin arrived May 8, 1834). A transcription of this cemetery from 2000 is located here. A Google map of the location is here:

The cemetery is on the north end of a path that connects Turnberry Road to what used to be Mosely Lane. Surnames represented are AKIN, GRAY, YALTON, LAUGHLIN, GASTON, RILEY, STEWART, GLOS, and LAUGHLIN. Photos of the gravestones are below. Click on each image for a larger version.
